this folk art santa is clearly drawn from a hand-carved wooden original, and that is what i have always loved about it. my father did wood carving in his later years, so there is something about this form that feels especially familiar to me.
the beeswax is colored in small batches with aniline dyes and carries its natural, honeyed scent.
