8-inch fluted column
this pure beeswax candle takes its shape from the fluted columns of classical architecture. i used a simple wooden curtain rod to make the original mold, part of the quiet magic of candle making is discovering how everyday objects can become something sculptural.
the vertical grooves catch the light and give the form a subtle sense of movement as it burns.
at 8" high and 1 1/4" in diameter, it has a balanced, elegant presence and works beautifully on a dining table, sideboard, or mantel.
the beeswax is colored in small batches with aniline dyes, producing deep, rich hues that still carry the natural scent of honey.
sold in pairs.
